What the work involves

Once an investigation confirms sinkhole activity, a geotechnical engineer designs stabilization, commonly compaction grouting to densify loose soils and fill voids, chemical grouting near the surface, and underpinning with piers. The plan specifies injection locations, depths, volumes and pressures, with monitoring and post-repair verification.
